Maryland police officer shot, killed in line of duty investigating ‘suspicious activity’

A police officer was shot and killed Monday while investigating a report of suspicious activity in Baltimore County, Maryland, according to Gov. Larry Hogan.

A Baltimore County police officer shot Monday afternoon in the Perry Hall area has died, Gov. Larry Hogan confirmed.
The officer was shot around 2 p.m. on Linwen Way and was taken to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.
WBAL is reporting there’s a large presence of Baltimore County police officers, including the chief, at the hospital.

Police tweeted that residents in the area of Belair and Klausmeier roads should shelter in place as officers search for an armed suspect.
