ONLY Fools And Horses is returning after 15 years as a West End musical.

The show-stopping extravaganza took five years to create and was written by Paul Whitehouse and John Sullivan – the son of Only Fools creator Jim.

Chas Hodges has worked on the composition and helped to create 20 songs which will be performed during the production.

The musical was being worked on by Jim at the time of his death in 2011.

His work was taken on by Fast Show star Paul and his son John and the pair have finally announced the big news.

As well as big characters Del, Rodney and Grandad, fans will also see fan favourites Boycie, Marlene and Trigger.

Set in 1989, the show will follow Del and Rodney finding love with Raquel and Cassandra – as the Peckham they know and love changes dramatically around them.

Paul said he wanted to highlight “contemporary issues” in London while keeping the show’s authentic and “hilarious” feel.

He said: “We’re very conscious of the Only Fools legacy and that it’s so fondly remembered by people of almost all ages.”

“So we’ve tried to incorporate everyone’s favourite moments from the TV shows and, of course, all the great characters.”

The original sitcom saw David Jason taking on the iconic role of Del, with Nicholas Lyndhurst playing Rodney.

Tickets for the Only Fools and Horses musical are on sale, available from the official website via www.OnlyFoolsMusical.com

They can also be purchased on Ticketmaster and all dates will be hosted at the Haymarket Theatre in London.
