SIMON MIGNOLET is set to be thrown a career lifeline by Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.

But the prospect of regular top-flight football on the French Riviera will prompt Mignolet to seek a move away from Merseyside in the New Year.
He has made 201 Reds appearances, but is in his second season as an understudy after spending much of last term as backup to the error-prone Karius.
