Brian McFadden injured himself during Dancing On Ice rehearsals on Saturday a spokesperson has confirmed.
The 38-year-old Westlife singer had been training on the rink ahead of what should be his debut performance with partner Alex Murphey when the accident happened.
A spokesperson for the show said: ‘Brian had an injury today.
‘He’s partially dislocated his shoulder and damaged his rotator cuff and he cannot rehearse anymore today.’
Brian’s professional partner Alex recently revealed Brian had sustained an injury, telling The Sun: ‘We had a fall, it was pretty bad.
‘He was really anxious after that but I told him not to worry and hopefully it’s out of his system.’
The news of Brian’s dislocated shoulder comes just 24 hours after he told his 343,000 Twitter followers that he hadn’t had an accident on the ice, writing: ‘Not true kids! I’m brand new and ready to roll!!! X’
Dancing On Ice co-star Gemma Collins was the first 2018 contestant to receive medical attention after suffering a fall last week.
‘Guys, I’ve had a massive fall while in rehearsals,’ she told her Instagram fans. ‘Avoided the ambulance this time. I’m gonna need a miracle tonight.’
Dancing On Ice airs tonight at 6pm on ITV.
