Man Utd hit worst by international break with Pogba, Wan-Bissaka and Lingard picking up injuries ahead of Leicester clash

MANCHESTER UNITED face a huge game with Leicester on Saturday but their chances haven’t been helped by an injury-hit international break.
Most worrying for the Red Devils was the back problem picked up by Aaron Wan-Bissaka that forced him to leave the England camp.
Wan-Bissaka and Lingard both pulled out of the England squadGetty – ContributorThe right-back has been a rare consistent force at Old Trafford this season and is joined by Paul Pogba as a doubt for the weekend after the Frenchman pulled out of France duty with an ankle issue.
Furthermore, Jesse Lingard developed an illness while away with England.
It adds to the concern over Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw while Eric Bailly is a long-term absentee.
Arsenal are also having to wait on key players Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira after the midfield pair aggravated Achilles and muscle knocks, respectively.
Another side left counting the cost of the international period is Newcastle.
Swiss defender Fabian Schar returned to Tyneside nursing a touch of fatigue and Miguel Almiron has undertaken an exhausting trip to Japan and back, via Jordan, with Paraguay.
Tottenham were already sweating on the fitness of Tanguy Ndombele before their clash with Crystal Palace but now a hip injury to Giovani Lo Celso has hit them further.
The Argentine initially shrugged off the issue but it was confirmed on Tuesday that he is out until late October.
London rivals Chelsea may have a decision to make at left-back with Emerson Palmieri damaging his hamstring just eight minutes into Italy’s win over Finland on Monday.
The Azzurri defender insisted his exit was a precaution and “nothing serious” as he looks to keep Marcos Alonso out the team.

As for Brighton, they are potentially without star signing Leandro Trossard after the Belgian midfielder aggravated a groin problem in training for his national side.
With the internationals now complete, the final Premier League players in action – and thus the last to return to their clubs – included Wolves’ Raul Jimenez after he completed 90 minutes of a 4-0 defeat to Argentina in Texas on Tuesday night.
Merseyside rivals Roberto Firmino and Richarlison also played over an hour in the States as Brazil lost to Peru.
