MARCUS RASHFORD is “looking stronger” than ever before after signing a new four-year deal, says former Manchester United favourite Denis Irwin.
The England striker signed a £300,000-a-week contract on July 1 until 2023, to become one of the highest earners at Old Trafford.

Rashford has previously stated his intention of returning his boyhood club back to the top table and qualifying for the Champions League next season.

It will be his third full season, after becoming a first-team regular in the 2016/17 campaign under then boss Jose Mourinho.
The forward looks physically stronger and Irwin believes he will play a massive role as United try and mount a title bid under Solskjaer.
Irwin posted on Twitter: “He [Rashford] looks stronger. He’s still a young boy and he’s still growing but he does look stronger.”

Irwin said: “City have definitely got the ability to go win the league again but they’re definitely catchable as well.
“City have been fantastic the past couple of seasons and Kompany is a big figure for them, so losing someone like that with his strength in the dressing room will be a big loss.”
Rashford has got 45 goals in 110 starts for United.

But with Romelu Lukaku likely to move on, Solskjaer has said Rashford will be his main target man next season.
