Robbie Williams has warned that the backlash from the drama of Coleen Rooney exposing Rebekah Vardy could be ‘suicide-causing’.

The 45-year-old has confessed that while he understands the need for revenge by the wife of footballer Wayne Rooney, it could ‘provoke levels of shame’ and Jamie Vardy’s wife could end up feeling ’10 times worse’.

‘Let’s say Rebekah was guilty – which we don’t know. How she will feel inside right now is 10 times worse than how Coleen would have felt when those things were happening to her.

‘It’s a dangerous game to play… I understand Coleen’s need for revenge and I probably would have done the same thing but we have to be careful.

‘It’s suicide-causing – provoking these levels of shame,’ he added to the Telegraph.

Coleen shocked fans last month when she accused the wife of fellow footballer Jamie Vardy of selling fake stories about her to the press.

The 33-year-old claims that in order to prove her theory, she had set up a private Instagram account and posted untrue stories about herself to see who would pass them onto the media – and she realised it was Rebekah after she changed her account settings to block all but her from viewing her account.

‘After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion,’ she said in a statement posted to social media.

‘To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing [my] Instagram except ONE account.

‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know, they did!

‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

Since the exposure, Rebekah has strongly denied any involvement, and Coleen has not spoken publicly on the matter since.

She has since called in a forensic team to analyse her Instagram account as she aims to maintain her innocence.
