Sarah Paulson has admitted that she ‘needs’ to be a part of American Horror Story again and wants to return for the show’s 10th season.
The actress, who’s starred in every season of Ryan Murphy’s acclaimed series apart from the current innings 1984, expressed that it’s been difficult watching from the sidelines this time around.
‘It’s hard not to be a part of it,’ Sarah said. ‘I would love to [return for Season 10].’
She added in an interview with TV Guide: ‘I need to be a part of it again.’
Despite not having a major role in 1984, Sarah has teased that she could crop up as a cameo.
‘And you never know, I may pop up. You never know. No promises though,’ she told ET Online last month. ‘
Sarah isn’t the only American Horror Story favourite to be absent from the current series.
Evan Peters stepped down from the horror anthology for the first time since it began back in 2011, albeit temporarily.
His decision comes after he admitted in an interview last year that the tough roles were ‘hurting his soul’ and the dark subject matter was proving to get the best of him after nearly a decade.
During an interview with GQ magazine, he said: ‘Yeah, I’m not doing it anymore. I just made a decision. I said to myself, “I can’t do it anymore.” It’s not me. It’s not who I am!’
‘I’m goofy, I’m silly, I like to have fun,’ he added. ‘I don’t like to yell and scream. I actually hate it.
‘I think it’s disgusting and really awful, and it’s been a challenge for me. Horror Story sort of demanded that of me.’
American Horror Story: 1984 airs Wednesdays on FX in the US with new episodes dropping on NOW TV in the UK.
