Stay in a candy cane house where you can eat the decorations this Christmas

If you think your house is Christmassy with your tree and lights up, wait until you see this place.

Booking.com have gotten right into the spirit with their new Candy Cane House, located in London’s Soho. And you can stay there.

The best part is the decorations, and not just because they’re festive. A whole load of them are edible.

As you enter, you’ll be able to munch on an edible Christmas wreath, before getting started with the complimentary hamper, complete with celebratory bubbles and a selection of confectionery favourites.

Here, in the Candy Land room, large candy-style treats line the walls, and candy canes and edible baubles adorn the candy floss coloured Christmas tree.

If that wasn’t sweet enough, stepping stones of Christmas sugar cookies will lead guests into the master Ginger-Breadroom, which is decked out like a winter forest and covered in edible chocolate pine cones.

The other rooms in the apartment is the Coco Kitchen (which gives you the impression you’re inside a giant caramel chocolate, with melting chocolate walls and caramel flooring) and the Sugar Cube-icle bathroom, which is a real treat for the eyes.

Other edible bits in the house include a chocolate style cheeseboard and a gingerbread bedside table (which probably won’t give you a wakeup call but will be delicious).

While you might be worried about the waste of the whole thing, you’ll be pleased to know that any leftovers are to be donated to Barnados, and organisers say they’re ‘committed to using biodegradable snow and eco-friendly glitter-based products’.

To stay costs £99 per night, but the spaces are extremely limited. The experience is available for just two overnight stays of two people per time on the 18 and 19 December.

Bookings for the first night will open on 9 December at 10am, with the stay for 19 December released for booking at 10am on 13 December. If you’re interested, find out more here.
