The Walking Dead is lining up another major character to crossover into spin-off Fear The Walking Dead, according to reports.

Last year, Lennie James’ character Morgan Jones made show history by becoming the first character to make the jump from one show to another – in what was a massive revamp for the spin-off.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Austin Amelio, who plays Dwight on The Walking Dead, is now being lined up to follow Morgan’s footsteps into Fear.

The whereabouts of Dwight has been a hanging question over The Walking Dead’s ninth season, who was last seen banished by Daryl from ever returning to Alexandria in the season eight finale.

It raises the question of how, and if, Dwight and Morgan will cross paths in the spin-off – and does this also mean we could see Dwight’s wife Sherry, too?

The crossover is reportedly planned for Fear The Walking Dead’s fifth season, which will be released at some point in 2019.

The Walking Dead, meanwhile, is on a midseason break as it gears up for a huge storyline around new villain The Whisperers, starring newbies Samantha Morton and Ryan Hurst as Alpha and Beta.

The Walking Dead returns on February 10 on AMC in the US, and February 11 on Fox in the UK.
