Warzone Season 6 Nerfs Overpowered Origin-12 Shotgun & C4

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare Season 6 patch notes reveal that the Origin-12 shotgun and C4 equipment have been nerfed at last.

nfinity Ward has finally decided to nerf the overpowered Origin-12 shotgun in Call of Duty: Warzone and C4 in both the battle royale and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, according to the games’ most recent patch notes. Many players and streamers have claimed in the last few months that the Origin-12, in particular, was far too strong, allegedly ruining the game’s already shaky balance.
These nerfs are a part of the patch that was implemented on September 28th ahead of the launch of Season 6.

As a free multiplayer game, Call of Duty: Warzone requires constant updates to keep the game feeling fresh and balanced. For the most part these updates have added many new features to Warzone that have given players a lot of new content to check out. Season 5’s mid-season update, for example, allowed players to finally explore the interior of Verdansk’s Stadium as well as collect new character skins and weapon blueprints.
The biggest issue with these updates though has been the backlash against their massive size. All users, but Xbox players in particular, have had to download dozens of gigabytes of files every time Warzone has an update, which has upset many players. Despite the size of these files though, players tend to be pretty happy with the features that Warzone rolls out.

According to the patch notes on Infinity Ward’s website for Season 6, the Origin-12 shotgun has potentially lost its OP status. The weapon was known for being able to shred through an enemy player’s shields at close range, but Infinity Ward has put a stop to that. The close range damage of the shotgun has been reduced considerably now, so it will be much more likely that players can survive a hit from the Origin-12. C4 also isn’t as powerful as it used to be.

There will now be a slight delay whenever players try to quick detonate C4, and a beeping noise will play when triggered in order to warn surrounding players of the impending explosion. These nerfs will ensure that neither of these weapons can dominate the game like they once did.
