Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips is the latest contestant to be booted off out of the villa following a shock recoupling.
And while she declared that it was her time to go, it seems the 25-year-old has some regrets from her month in South Africa.
When first entering the show, the Democratic Services Officer paired up with Callum Jones, seeing the duo go from strength to strength despite the occasional bust up.
However, in Casa Amor, her man’s head was turned by new bombshell Molly Smith.
Since then, Shaughna has wished she ditched the scaffolder earlier on in the season so she had a better chance at finding Mr. Right.
During her exit, the reality star said of Callum: ‘Initially, I was physically attracted to him. He had a nice energy about him, which he still does have…
‘I just see him now in a completely different light.’
‘My family would have liked him to begin with and then he would have definitely worn my mum thin. He definitely would have rubbed her up the wrong way.
‘Just by not being very affectionate towards me, not ever really putting me first. Every mum wants that for their daughter.’
She went onto talk about her latest move, which saw her try and couple up with Luke M when after confessing that she wanted to get to know the Justin Bieber lookalike more.
‘If I had my time again I’d definitely have ditched Callum sooner than Casa Amor,’ Shaughna stated: ‘Which would then have left me with some ‘openness’ and then I’d have probably noticed I liked Luke M a lot sooner than I did.’
However, despite her best efforts at winning over the heating engineer, Luke decided to couple up with Demi Jones, which resulted in Shaughna’s dumping.
Explaining his decision, the 24-year-old said: ‘She never fails to make me laugh. I feel like she hasn’t had the best luck in the villa but I do feel that that is gonna change.
‘This is probably the hardest decision I’ve had to make. I don’t want anyone to go, but I had to go with my heart and my gut.’
Love Island: Unseen Bits airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
