Strictly Come Dancing’s John Whaite has ignited the rumour mill that he’s been paired up with professional dancer Johannes Rabede after the pair were spotted arriving for training just minutes apart.

Former Great British Bake Off winner John is one of 16 contestants taking part in the upcoming series and is set to make history on the show by starring the first all-male partnership.

While this year’s contingent discovered last week who they’ve been matched up with, the public have to wait until Saturday’s hotly-anticipated launch to find out.

However, new photos have seen John and Johannes leaving the same London studio just minutes apart.

According to sources, John was spotted vacating the venue at 7.01pm, with the Strictly pro also exiting just seven minutes later.

Johannes was photographed covered up in a black face mask, sunglasses, and hat, and quickly jumped into a car that pulled up right to the door.

John, however, smiled for the camera as he carried a yoga mat, suitcase, and sports bag with him.

Is this evidence they’ll be dancing together? Only time will tell…

The baker previously said it was an ‘honour’ to be chosen to make history on the show in the all-male pairing.

‘If I’d seen two lads or lasses dancing together on Saturday night TV and nobody made a fuss about it, I don’t think I’d have grown up with quite so much shame for being gay,’ he told Steph McGovern.

‘I just hope there are kids out there watching who don’t even question it, who watch it and think “I am who I am and I’m comfortable with that, and I’m accepted and loved and can be loved for who I am”. It’s a massive privilege.’

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off on Saturday at 7.45pm on BBC One.
